Approval tracking

What it measures

Approval tracking answers a simple, recurring question: how does the public feel about a specific leader, institution or policy right now, and how has that changed since the last wave? We track approval for presidents, governors, senators, cabinet members and public institutions on a fixed release schedule so the numbers are always comparable wave-to-wave.

How the data is collected

Approval tracking studies typically combine CATI/CAPI interviews for a nationally representative core sample with SMS or online polling for faster, lower-cost interim reads between full waves. Every wave uses the same question wording and sampling approach as the last, which is what makes wave-to-wave comparison valid.

How it's presented

Findings are published as a short report with the headline number, breakdown tables, a trend chart across recent waves, and the full methodology disclosure (sample size, margin of error, fieldwork dates). Subscribers get access to the underlying dashboard between full report releases.
